Why ACoS misleads series authors
ACoS only counts book 1 sales
ACoS divides ad spend by sales of the book you advertised. For a Kindle Unlimited series, that leaves out most of what a new reader pays you.
KU readers pay by the page, not by the sale. Readers who finish book 1 move on to book 2, then 3. A keyword at 250% ACoS can be one of your most profitable, and the usual 70% break-even rule tells you to cut it.

What you get
Four lists you can act on in ten minutes
Cut the waste
Search terms that have had enough clicks to judge and returned nothing: no sales, no page reads. Measured against your own clicks-per-reader, not a generic rule.
Bid on profit
For every keyword and target: what a click earns across the series, what it costs, and the bid that hits your target. Raises capped at 30% a step.
Harvest winners
Profitable searches found by auto, broad and phrase targeting, ready to add as exact keywords with a starting bid.
Keep hidden winners
Terms that look terrible on ACoS but pay through KU and read-through. The ones authors cut by mistake.

Common questions

Why is ACoS wrong for Kindle Unlimited books?+
ACoS is spend divided by sales. A KU borrow isn't a sale: it pays through page reads, which ACoS ignores. And a reader who finishes book 1 often reads the rest of the series, which no ad report shows. So a keyword can show 300% ACoS and still make money.
What is true ACoS?+
Ad spend divided by every royalty the clicks earn: the sale, the KU page reads, and the expected later-book royalties from your read-through. Under 100% means the ads pay for themselves across the series.
Which report do I upload?+
In the Amazon Ads console: Reports, Create report, Sponsored Products, Search term. Pick a 30 or 60 day range that ends at least 14 days ago, then download the .xlsx or .csv and drop it in.
Does my report get uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is read by your browser and analyzed on your device. Nothing about your ads is sent to us.
What if my report has no KENP column?+
Enter how many KU readers you get per sale (from your KDP dashboard) and the tool estimates page-read value from your orders. It's less precise than real KENP data, and it says so.
Does it work for Sponsored Brands or Lockscreen ads?+
It's built for the Sponsored Products search term report, where most author spend goes. Other report types may load, but the bid advice assumes Sponsored Products.
